The large country house is situated in a peaceful location in the small village of Belarga, 5 minutes from Pezenas, 20 mins from beach. Just a few minutes walk from the cottage takes you to the river Herault. The property offers an enclosed private garden (800 m2), pool and shaded terrace. There are 5 Bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining room, a stylish living room and 2 bathrooms. Ground floor
You enter the property through a magnificent hallway with wood burning stove. Doors lead to the lounge with comfortable seating and TV and the kitchen-dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle. The kitchen opens out onto the large terrace.
First floor
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms - 2 double bedrooms and a twin. There is also a beautiful large bathroom.
Second floor
On the second floor there are a further 2 twin bedrooms and another bathroom. There are 2 washing machines at the cottage.
Outside: there is a large paved terrace with garden furniture, table and chairs for 12 people and a garden with tress and shrubs. The swimming pool is accessed from the garden and is 10m x 5m in size.

Last visited October 2020. If you are looking for a large property in France to rent long term then this house in Belarga ticks a number of boxes. The Owner will accept pets (through prior agreement). The property is very well insulated and has a large wood burning stove which heats the whole house. There are also electric radiators in some of the rooms.

Wonderful large holiday home in Languedoc
This is a wonderful property for a group of friends, large family or 2 families holidaying together. The swimming pool, garden and terrace are great and there is plenty of shade for the hot summer months. The house itself is finished to a high standard and has all mod cons to make for a relaxing care free holiday. A good choice for a holiday home in the Languedoc.

Lovely house
Stayed at Maison Marronnier in July 2017 with a group of friends. We really enjoyed our week - the house was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Great pool to laze around in the day, nice table under the shade of a tree so you can eat lunch and dinner outside and a very well equipped kitchen. Peter was very responsive in answering all our questions before we arrived and very quickly returned my deposit. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this region.

Beautiful and well equipped house
This is a beautiful and well equipped house with 6 good size bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, large living comfy living room (TV has British channels). It`s a lovely old building with nice high ceilings and good proportions. The beds and bed linen are comfy and good quality and there are plenty of towels and 2 washing machines to accommodate large parties. There`s a beautiful completely shaded courtyard with lovely mature trees and a big dining table where we ate all of our meals. The pool is in a separate lawned area of the garden (good for kids cricket). It`s a great size for the kids with sun loungers and a shaded area around it. You`re 2 minutes walk from a beautiful place to swim in the River Herault complete with a weir that our kids loved jumping off. We spent a day on the beach half an hours drive away, a day kayaking on the Herault and a fair few days just hanging out by the pool and river. Peter was a great host full of good tips for things to do, local restaurants and markets and was really responsive. He has children so there are kids books, some toys, and kids tennis rackets for a village court 2 minutes walk away. There`s a small shop in the village that has bread every morning from a local bakery and other basics. There`s a supermarket 10 minutes drive away.

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the first day of the month (for rentals of 3 months or less, the rent is to be paid in full prior to arrival). The utility bills are to be paid in addition to the monthly rent. There is a monthly provision of €350 towards the utility bills. References may be required. Minimum stay is normally 3 months.
