The house comes with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a nice private terrace.

This cute property for long term lets is laid out over 2 floors and features traditional terracotta tiled floors throughout. The house has been tastefully furnished.
Ground floor
- There is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with fridge freezer, oven, induction hob, microwave and washing machine.
- The kitchen leads onto the living/dining room with exposed beams, stone fireplace and a comfortable sofa, dining table and 4 chairs.
- There is also a bathroom with separate shower, basin and WC.
First floor
Upstairs there are two connecting double bedrooms and a private terrace, which overlooks the roof of the old village Chateau.
- Bedroom 1 contains a double bed and French windows which provide access onto the terrace
- Bedroom 2 is fitted with a double bed and a mezzanine/loft with skylight and a single bed. The mezzanine, accessible by ladder, would suit a child over 10 years old or a young adult.
Outside: there is a Terrace leading from the main bedroom with a table and chairs for 4 people. Free parking on the road outside.

Long term lets beside Canal du Midi France - our opinion
This is a cracking little house that provides comfortable accommodation for a couple with occasional guests. Poilhes is a very beautiful bisected by the famous Canal du Midi. You can easily while away an afternoon watching the canal barges floating by. Poilhes also has a couple of restaurants and an excellent wine/tapas bar. The is a great central location for a house-buying trip or a long vacation in Southern France.

Area activities
This lovely long term let property is located at the end of a tiny lane, just a few steps from the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. Poilhes village is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is easy to spend a few hours sat at a local cafe watching the canal boats float past. Cycling along the tree-lined tow-paths of the Canal du Midi is also great fun. Poilhes has a couple of shops and restaurants and there is a much larger selection in the neighbouring village of Capestang. There is a wine bar opened in Poilhes which is very popular and there is also a Tapas Bar featuring wine tastings and a great place to hang out for a lazy afternoon by the banks of the Canal du Midi! If you are feeling energetic, there is a free municipal tennis court just a couple of minutes walk away from the house.
This is the ideal location to provide a relaxing long stay in the South of France. The Languedoc is one of the most diverse regions of France, offering mountains, lakes, rivers, beautiful beaches, historic towns and fairy tale castles. The Region is one of the most prolific wine-producing areas of France, producing over 30% of France´s wine output.
Close to Poilhes, you will find some excellent beaches within a 20 minute drive. The beaches at Vias Plage, Portirangues Plage and Serignan Plage all have waterside restaurants and cafes.
The historic town of Beziers is just 10 minutes away and is the capital of this wine producing area and a rugby-mad town. The Friday flower market in Beziers takes place along the beautiful tree-lined main boulevard and is probably the best in the whole of Languedoc.

By rail, the TGV operates from Lille to Beziers or Agde. Eurostar has a non-stop service from Waterloo to Avignon (July to September).
