A nicely renovated 3 bedroom house for monthly rentals in the charming village of Caux, France, close to Pezenas. The house comes with 2 bathrooms, a garden and private parking. Caux is a wine-making village, dating back over 1,000 years. The nearby town of Pezenas has a lovely historic centre and attracts thousands of visitors every year - both the the famous market, the arts festivals and the numerous antique shops.
The house is available to rent on a monthly basis between October to April from €900 pcm + bills.

The house is located in a quiet lane close to the centre of the village. The house provides 100 m2 of living space and is laid out all on one level. At the rear of the property there is a sheltered garden, at the front, there is a walled garden with terrace and parking space.
Inside the property has been completely renovated and has a nice modern feel with white washed walls complimenting the vintage tiling on the floors.
- The open plan living room contains the spacious lounge dining area and well equipped kitchen. The lounge comes with comfortable sofas, WiFi and a flat screen TV.
- The dining area can seat up to 6 people.
- The kitchen comes with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, large fridge-freezer, microwave and plenty of cooking utensils. There is a good amount of storage space and the house has all the plates, cups and cutlery that you will need.
- The kitchen provides access out to the garden at the rear of the house.
There are 3 double bedrooms.
- The main bedroom comes with a stylish en-suite bathroom, with shower and washbasin.
- Bedroom 2 comes with a double bed and fitted wardrobes.
- Bedroom 3 also comes with a double bed and hanging space.
- The family bathroom contains a walk-in shower and wash basin. There are 2 separate toilets in the house.
The house is heated by reversible air conditioning.
Outside: at the front of the house there is a sunny terrace with patio table and chairs. There is a gravel driveway in front of the terrace which can be used for priate parking. There is a lockable gate in front of the driveway. At the rear of the property there is an enclosed garden, with a covered seating area and a sunny spot for sun bathing and relaxing.

Last visited Jan 2021: This is a very well-equipped house for monthly rentals in South France. The very friendly owners are on hand to ensure that your stay is comfortable and the privacy provided by the stone walls surrounding the house. Caux is a great village to be based in and you do not need to wander far to enjoy restaurants, bars and shops.

The Mediterranean coast is 20-30 minutes to the south, the hills and mountains 30 minutes to the north and Montpellier, the thriving capital of the Languedoc is 45 minutes away by car. The Languedoc is one of the most diverse regions of France, offering mountains, lakes, rivers and beautiful stretches of coastline. The Languedoc is the most prolific wine-producing area of France and a happy afternoon can be spent touring the many vineyards and tasting the local produce. Local sites include:
The Canal du Midi which links the Atlantic with the Mediterranean and offers miles of flat walks along the shady tow-paths. A choice of boat excursions can be taken. Carcassonne castle is well worth a visit, especially on jousting days! Golf courses nearby at Beziers and Cap d`Agde Funfair at Vias Plage (July and August). Bassin de Thau - a calm inland sea teeming with fish and producing over half the oysters consumed in France. Villages, such as Bouzigues and Meze, have many restaurants serving sumptuous platters of fresh shellfish. Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park - a very beautiful area only 30 minutes drive away, with its stunning gorges and superb walking, hiking, river rafting, water sports and carp fishing. Roquebrun (called “Little Nice“) with its Mediterranean garden with over 400 species. Pezenas 5kms away - City of Moliere with an exceptional architectural heritage. Numerous arts and crafts artists with workshops open to the public. Large market every Saturday. Spain - an hour`s drive to the border.

There is a TGV train station at Beziers, which is 25 minutes away by taxi. There is a regular bus service between Caux and Pezenas. In Pezenas, you can take connecting buses to Beziers, Montpellier and to the coast (Cap d´Agde and Vias Plage).

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the first day of the month (for rentals of 3 months or less, the rent is to be paid in full prior to arrival). The utility bills are to be paid in addition to the monthly rent. There is a monthly provision of €200 towards the utility bills. For rentals longer than 6 months the utility bills will be transferred into the name of the tenant. References may be required. Minimum stay is normally 3 months. Pets accepted through the agreement of the Owner. Not available during June to August.
