There are 5 airports within 1 hour 15 mins drive (including Beziers airport just 20 mins away) and there is a TGV train station 15 mins away. Capestang provides easy access to the A9 and A75 motorways.
This lovely home in Capestang is surprisingly spacious inside, providing 140m2 of living space. It is laid out over 2 floors and comes with an easy to maintain garden.
On the ground floor there is a lounge, large dining room and a newly installed kitchen. In the entrance hall there is a guest toilet and doors providing access to the lounge and kitchen.

There are 2 bathrooms, both of which have been recently modernised. Bathroom 1 comes with a bath, overhead shower, wash basin and toilet. Bathroom 2 has a stylish walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside: there is a private swimming pool (3m x 4.5m) which is half above ground. It is ideal for children or for everyone to cool off on hot sunny days. The garden is mainly paved and offers areas for sunbathing, eating or reading in the shade of an olive tree. There are 6 sunbeds, 4 sunloungers and 4 patio chairs. Next to the barbecue there is a large patio table with seating for 8 people. The Barbecue area is covered and provides plenty of shade. There is a Gas BBq and a Charcoal BBQ. There is also a small terrace next to the kitchen which has a small bistro-style table and 4 chairs. The garden has a lockable gate for extra security. There is parking for one vehicle immediately outside the property. There is also free parking on the road which passes the back of the house.

Last visited: June 2019. What struck me the most about this property was that from the outside I thought that it was going to be small inside. But the house keeps on giving and provides spacious accommodation with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, extended kitchen and big lounge and large dining room. It is perfect for walking into town and Capestang is well-situated for exploring the Languedoc region. A very comfortable home for monthly rentals in the South of France for a family.

Located in a quiet residential street, this long term rental home provides comfortable accommodation for a family. The house is located close to a children´s playground, community centre, tennis courts and a skate park, and is within walking distance of all amenities including: 2 supermarkets (Lidl and Intermarché), 2 banks, a post office, 2 pharmacies, a butcher´s, several bakeries and the local cave cooperative (wine store). Capestang has a good selection of cafes and restaurants. There is a twice weekly market in the main square.
The town has a nursery school (very close to the house) and a college for older children.
Capestang is located between the towns of Narbonne and Beziers and is on the Canal du Midi. The area is filled with fortified villages and ancient ruins. Fantastic sights nearby include Minerve, Carcassonne, Caunes Minervois and Rennes le Château. Within 1 hour you can be in Spain or the Pyrenees.
The two nearest beaches are Valras Plage and Narbonne plage (25 kms). These have sandy beaches that run for miles. There are great seafood restaurants and ice cream parlours.
For foodies there are the great food markets in all the local villages, as well as the famous indoor food market at Narbonne. Fresh fish is plentiful as is the locally grown fruit and vegetables.
