From the ground floor, the half spiral staircase leads to the first floor. The sizeable landing gives access to the first 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and an adjoining room with single bed, so could be used for a child. The window overlooks the courtyard. There is an en suite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 is a generously proportioned double, while bedroom 3 has two twin beds and a large walk-in cupboard. Also on this floor is a shower room with large walk in shower, basin and WC.
Continuing up the stairs to the 2nd floor, the biggest bedroom occupies almost the entire roof space or ‘grenier’. With remote controlled air-conditioning and a high ceiling with exposed beams, this is a very comfortable space. The room comes with a roof skylight, a double bed, a TV and a video player as well as a lounge area with sofa. This floor also has a large en suite bathroom with shower cubicle, bath with shower over, hand basin and WC. There is also one further single bedroom on this floor. Doors lead onto the secluded roof terrace which has the benefit of a southerly aspect so enjoys the sun all day long.
On the ground floor, the hallway is spacious with a bench seat. To either side there are 2 reception rooms. The sitting room on the right hand is more of an adults sitting room/office. The lounge on the left is a family lounge, with a sofa, 2 armchairs, a TV with Free to Air satellite channels (more if you bring your own Sky card) and a DVD. There is wifi throughout the property for those bringing their laptops. At the end of the hallway is a W.C. with hand basin, a door leading to the courtyard, and the stairs to the first floor. Passing through the left hand living room, the kitchen presents itself as a long kitchen diner, with a table and chairs for 8, along with a very well equipped cooking area, including a big fridge (a necessity in this part of the world), dishwasher and microwave, and sympathetically tiled splash backs. The door to the right gives easy access to the court yard, and the utility room, with washing machine and dryer. There is on street parking directly outside the house.
Outside - The courtyard is situated at the heart of the property, conveniently positioned outside the kitchen. During the summer months it becomes the ideal place to enjoy al fresco dining. The table is large and easily seats 8-10 people. Most of the rooms in the house have a window opening onto this area and it really is the heart of the property. Leading from the courtyard is the large barn which is neatly tucked away. Here you will enjoy a safe play area for the children out of the glare of the sun. It is stocked with a badminton net and racquets, a basketball hoop, table tennis and darts for all the family to enjoy. Much of the barn is covered in a synthetic grass which makes it an ideal surface upon which to play. The barn also houses the bikes available to guests. On the far side of the barn is the only entry gate to the pool, sunbathing area and barbecue. The pool is 8m x 4m and is 1.4m deep with steps at one end. The pool has a patio surround for sunbathing space and there is a built in BBQ in one corner. There is also an exterior solar shower and lighting, so the pool area may be used in the evening as well.
