Gite Cazals is a long term rentals property located in the border of the Dordogne and Lot departments in South West France. The gite comes with one bedroom, a comfortable lounge, fast reliable internet, private terrace and parking. The gite provides comfortable accommodation for a single person or couple and the wood burner and central heating ensure that the property remains lovely and warm during the winter.
Gite Cazals is located in a beautiful part of the world, surrounded by lakes and woodland. There is a medieval village just down the road with a boulangerie, shops, small supermarket and restaurants. The popular sites of Sarlat, Cahors, Rocamadour and Monpazier are all within 30 mins drive.
Gite Cazals is available for long term rentals of 3 months duration throughout the year from €600 per month + bills. Available for high season rentals during July & August 2023 for €850 per month + bills (minimum stay is 2 months).

Gite Cazouls is located on a private estate with 2.5 hectares of land. The Owners live on-site in a connected building, but the gite is totally enclosed and comes with a private entrance. The gite comes with a brand new ecologic wooden pellet central heating system + wood log burner
- There is a large lounge / dining room with wood burner. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and large French windows allow plenty of lightinto the room. There is a SmartTelevision with Orange TV plus connections for Netflix and Canal+ accounts. There is a fast Wi-Fi connection (341 Mbps download speeds).
- The well-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher & washing machine.
- There is a double bedroom with a Queen sized bed (160cm x 200cm) and a wardrobe.
- The bathroom comes with a large walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.
Outside
- There is a private terrace in front of the gite, with a patio table & chairs, plus parasol.
- There is parking for several cars
- Surrounding the gite there are large grounds, including a lake. Certain access restrictions apply when an adjacent property is rented to guests on a weekly basis.

Gite Cazals can be rented on 3 month fixed term contracts throughout the year. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €100 towards the electricity, water, heating and Wi-Fi. Minimum stay is 3 months and consecutive rental contracts can be arranged (for 3-6 month rentals). Pets maybe accepted through prior agreement. The prices quoted are based on rentals over the winter period.

This is a fantastic rural property to rent for a couple or single person on a sabattical or house hunting trip. Inside the gite is very warm and comfortable and perfectly adapted for remote working. The gite is set within an idyllic location that provides for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The nearby village provides the shops and services that you will need on a daily basis and the larger town of Cahors is just 25 mins by car.

The rental is for the entire property. Any shared facilities are listed in the property description. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to rentals over the summer period and for shorter rentals. Utility bills are payable in addition to the rent.

Area activities
The gite is located on the outskirts of Cazals, a medieval village on the border of the Dordogne and Lot regions. The village has a weekly market with a good selection of fresh local products.
A farm shop, an award winning bakery renowned for the quality of its products, as well as a small supermarket are open all year round in the village. There is a also a post office, bank, newsagent, hair dresser and 2 restaurants in the village.
The surrounding area offers a wide range of attractions, many beautiful villages, castles, vineyards, gardens, rivers, caves and excellent hiking trails. The gite is located 30mns from Cahors, 40mins from Sarlat, 1h30m from Toulouse.
Other transport
There is a high speed rail link from Paris to Bordeaux. From Bordeaux you can take another train to Bergerac (all year round - 1 hour away) or Sarlat (during the summer months - 30 minutes away). The nearest mainline train stations are: Sarlat, Gourdon or Cahors.
There is a local regional train station 20 km away (in the village of Degagnac) with services to Toulouse and Limoges.

Driving directions
The village of Cazals is located on the D673 main road which runs all the way up to Darlat in Dordogne. The A20 motorway (which runs from Toulouse up through central France) can be accessed in 20 mins drive.
If you are travelling over to France by ferry, Cazals can be reached in:
- Calais: 8 hours away (via Arras, Paris and Orléans)
- Caen: 7 hours (passing through Le Mans, Tours and Limoges)
- Le Havre: 7 hours (passing through Paris and Limoges)
- Bilbao (Spain): 5 hours

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become your security deposit during your stay. Rent to be paid in advance prior to the start of the rental period. A monthly provision of €100 is to be paid in addition to the rent, towards the electricity, water, heating and Wi-Fi. Where pets are accepted, there is a €150 end of stay clean.
Due to rental regulations, the Owner is only able to accept fixed term rentals of up to 3 months duration. However, consecutive rental contracts can be issued for longer stays.
