This old stone farmhouse in the beautiful Lot region of South West France is available for long term rentals between October and May. The property comes with 3-4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a garden with pool, a beautiful lounge and a stunning kitchen. The property can be rented from €1200 + bills.
The farmhouse was thought to have been used by the French Resistance during the Second World War and when the Owners first accessed the house, they discovered a makeshift table made from an old door resting on grenade boxes in one of the rooms.
In 1986, the Owners turned the farmhouse into a popular Inn and it quickly gained a reputation amongst the local population for excellent food in a convivial atmosphere.
The house is located in a very rural location, with fields on 3 sides. Inside, the farmhouse contains many period features such as original oak beams, exposed stone walls and original fireplaces. The farmhouse has also been updated with modern appliances and fittings.
In a beautiful contrast to the old character of the lounge, the farmhouse contains a sleek modern kitchen, with period touches such as the old tomette floor tiles used as a design feature on the walls.
