Last visited: September 2024. Maison Bourgeoise offers excellent accommodation for a family or couple with frequent guests. If you are looking for some winter sun in Southern France and a chance to experience rural French life, this property is an excellent choice. It is possible to stay in Magalas without a car, but it will probably be easier and you will be able to explore much more, if you do have one.

Its splendid old market hall is a haven for those who want to sample the best of local produce, and in the nearby old town restaurants and cafes line the pavements.
Magalas is a thriving wine-growing village. There is a market in the town square every Wednesday, and live music many weekends during the summer. Magalas has three restaurants, two cafes, a small supermarket in its centre and a large one on the outskirts, plus doctors, dentist, hairdressers, pharmacy and other facilities. The wonderful medieval church, and its internationally renowned acoustics plays host to many classical concerts. The river Orb provides wonderful swimming only ten minutes away, as well as canoeing at nearby picturesque Roquebrun.
Magalas has its own railway station, located at the end of the road. The station has a number of daily train services to Beziers train station, which has TGV connections to Paris and Barcelona.
