The town of Marseillan is located on the shores of the Etang du Thau, a salt-water lake that is separated from the Mediterranean sea by a thin strip of beach. The nearby fishing villages, such as Bouzigues and Meze, are famous throughout France for producing the best oysters and mussels.
The beach at Marseillan plage is just 3 kms away from this South France apartment rental. Cap d´Agde, which provides a range of entertainments and facilities is just a short drive away.

The Languedoc is renowned for its shellfish and you do not have to go very far to sample mussels and oysters harvested from nearby in Bouzigues. Marseillan is an exceptionally pleasant and attractive small town, one of the few remaining unspoilt harbours in the South of France, lying close to the sea but not on it. The house is located in the inner part of the Marseillan. The Languedoc Coast and beaches are only 5 minutes away by car. There is a local market in Marseillan twice a week. On Tuesday morning Marseillan hosts a traditional market with food, clothing and housekeeping.
