The popular town of Limoges is just 25 mins drive and features a lovely old town centre. Limoges was recently voted the 4th best place to live in France and was nominated as the best French city to retire to.
The cottage is very handy for the airport at Limoges (20 mins drive) which features flights to the UK (London Stansted, Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds-Bradford). Limoges train station, with TGV services direct to Paris, is just 25 mins away.
The cottage is laid out over 2 floors. It comes with an enclosed rear garden with terrace and sun deck. The cottage has gas central heating, insulated roof and double glazing.
Outside: there is a good sized back garden with a terrace area with patio table and parasol. At the end of the garden there is a deck area with sun loungers and a shaded seating area. There is space for putting a small inflatable pool during the hot summer months.
Parking is available just opposite the cottage.

This is a beautiful location for a long term rental in the Limousin area of France. This comfortable 1 bedroom cottage is located amongst stunning countryside. The property is ideal for a couple or a small family for an extended winter holiday or house-hunting trip.
The village of Nouaillas is located in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central-western France. The village is in the Western corner of Haute Vienne, where the department borders the Charente and the Dordogne departments. This area of France is classified as a National Park (the beautiful Parc National de Perigord-Limousin). The village has around 200 inhabitants.
There are supermarkets in the neighbouring villages of Rochechouart (4km) and a wider range of services is available in Limoges (15 km). Rochechouart also features a weekly market with fresh local produce.
The nearby town of Limoges is a very pretty place, with a lovely historical centre, a stunning medieval Cathedral and a beautiful art-deco train station (often regarded as the most beautiful train station in France).
There is a TGV train station in Limoges (30 mins drive), with services to Paris and also to Bordeaux. There is also a local train station at the nearby village of St-Junien, with services to Limoges.
There is a local bus service that runs between Rochechouart and Limoges.
The local airport at Limoges is just 20 mins drive away. There are flights to the following airports:

The village of Nouaillas is located just off the D901 road, which runs in between Rochechouart and Oradour-sur-Vayres.
We stayed in this lovely place from June to October 2021, ideally situated in the Haute Vienne while we looked for a place to buy in France. It was comforting to know we had a great base to stay. We had done some research before we arrived in France, and saw that this was ideally located between the towns of Rochechouart and Saint Junien. Situated in Vayres (87600) it is in a quiet hamlet called Nouaillas, a small collection of houses and barns which are away from the hustle of town. As a delightful consequence, I have honestly, never in my life, slept so well and peacefully. The location is so peaceful and quiet. Opposite the property there is a space, ideally landscaped to accommodate two cars. Entering the property though a small double door, you enter the spacious and well equipped kitchen, with halogen hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. You have everything you need for your stay. Just off the kitchen through a sliding door, there is a well appointed bathroom with toilet, wash basin, and walk in shower. Leaving the kitchen you walk into a spacious living room with the largest comfy sofa I have ever had the pleasure of lounging on. Equipped with a dining table and 4 chairs, tv and dvd selection, there is also a large collection of books to keep you entertained on those quiet nights in with a glass or two of wine. The door at the far end of the lounge opens out into a spacious garden area, gravelled on both sides of a path which leads to a patio area where you can sunbathe on the sun loungers provided. There is an optional extra of an inflatable jacuzzi (we didn’t opt for this because we have two small dogs with us which would have spent more time in there than us, given half the chance). Up the stairs from the kitchen you are greeted by a massive bedroom with beautiful low wooden beams (watch your head), to the left which has a raised area with a roll top bath and wash basin. There is ample storage for your clothes in a wardrobe and large chest of drawers. You are not far from Rochechouart (8.4km) and Saint Junien (19.3km) for grocery shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars if you want them, and really well placed for a quiet, “away from it all” stay. We would heartily recommend staying here and have no doubt you will enjoy your stay here, we certainly did.
One month´s deposit to be paid at time of reservation. Rent to be paid in advance at the start of each month. There is a provision of €120 per month towards the electricity, water, internet, gas and communal taxes.
Customers are required to pay for a firewood delivery and also to refill the gas central heating tank at the end of the stay (based on consumed units of fuel).
Minimum stay is 3 months.
