This stone-built house is over 650 years old. The house is laid out over 3 floors
Ground floor
- The front door leads to the stairs which take you up to the first floor.
- There is a garage, but this is currently occupied with the Owner's belongings
First floor
- The open plan living room includes the lounge, dining room and the kitchen.
- The kitchen is equipped with an oven, induction hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine. There is plenty of storage space and the house has a full set of plates, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils.
- The lounge has a sofa and armchair, organised around the efficient wood burner which is located within the marble fireplace.
- The dining table can seat 4-6 people.
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed, bedside cabinets and a hanging space.
- The bathroom has a shower, wash basin and WC.
Second floor
Bedroom 2 is a good-sized bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The en-suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom 3 is a twin bedroom.
Outside
- There is free parking on the square in front of the house.
- In the centre of the square, there is a public seating area, where the local neighbours often congregate for a glass of wine on the warm summer nights.

Last visited: January 2026. This cosy home is located centrally in the gorgeous medieval village of Caunes Minervois. This is the perfect space to spend a relaxing year in the South of France. There are some beautiful walks surrounding the village. Although Caunes-Minervois is a small town, it does come with the essential amenities and there is a bit of life going on throughout the year.

The small medieval town of Caunes-Minervois features a beautiful 8th Century Abbey, which holds weekly Jazz nights during the summer. There is a twice weekly market held in the town square, which also features a popular cafe/bar set beneath the plane trees. The town also comes with a boulangerie, ATM, several restaurants, pizzeria, small supermarket, florist and pharmacy.
Caunes-Minervois is surrounded by vineyards and mountains so lots of walking opportunities. The local Minervois wine region produces some of the best wines in the South of France, many of which can be bought directly from the vineyards.
