This lovely 3 bed French cottage in Brittany for long term rentals, comes with beautiful views of the countryside and access to a small fishing lake nearby. The cottage is situated in a small hamlet, just outside the village of Ménéac in central Brittany. Ménéac is 50 mins west of Rennes and 1 hour 15 mins south of Saint Malo and Mont Saint-Michel. The cottage is in a tranquil setting and you can enjoy 3 acres of grounds which includes a lawn, an orchard and a fishing lake. Surrounding the cottage there are many countryside walks and cycle paths).
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a pellet stove, fully-fitted kitchen, fast fibre internet and a large outdoor area with barbecue. The cottage is available for long term rentals of up to 12 months from €700 per month + bills.

The cottage is located in a small hamlet. The Owners live in a separate property and there is a shared driveway. The cottage is laid out over 2 floors and provides 45m2 of living space. The cottage is heated by the pellet stove in the living room and electric radiators in the bedroom. Fibre internet has recently been installed.
Ground floor
- You enter into the living room, which contains the lounge, kitchen and dining area.
- The lounge features a comfortable leather sofa and matching armchair, a TV and a wood burner (pellet stove).
- The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker (oven and hob), a fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave, kettle and toaster. The cottage has a set of plates, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils.
- The dining table comes with 6 chairs and there are 2 large storage cupboards.
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed and a chest of drawers and hanging space. The en-suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
First floor
- Bedroom 2 is a large room with a high ceiling. It has a double bed and a single bed
- Bedroom 3 is also a large bedroom and it comes with a standard-size double bed and a single bed.
- The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
Outside
- There is a large terrace area with a barbecue.
- The Owner's grounds extend for 3 acres and include a lawn area, orchard and small fishing lake.
- There is parking for several cars on the shared driveway.

The cottage is available for long term rentals of up to 12 months. In addition to the rent, there is a provision of €175 towards the utility bills. The pellets for the pellet stove to be purchased separately. Minimum stay is normally 3 months, although longer rental periods are preferred. Although the Owners will accept pets, the outdoor area is not fully enclosed and during the hunting season pets should be kept indoors.

This cottage in central Brittany is an ideal base for a house hunting trip or an annual vacation. The cottage is fully equipped for a stay over the winter period, with good insulation and a pellet stove. During the summer, you can benefit from the 3 acres of land which includes an orchard and a small fishing lake. With the fast fibre internet connection, this cottage is ideal for remote workers. Due to the open stairs, the cottage is probably not suitable to young children or people with restricted mobility.

The peaceful village of Ménéac is located in the centre of Brittany, just 50 mins west of the capital city, Rennes. The village offers an authentic experience of rural Brittany, as well as providing easy access to the region's north and south coasts.
There is a small local supermarket in Ménéac called Le Ticket de Pain. Here you can get your freshly baked baguettes, croissants, etc., as well as a wide range of other products. There are also two nice café bars - Le Pizz'Bar Vinc and Au Comptoir De Menek (Chez Mario) and a La Grande Halte restaurant which offers a fixed menu lunch every day of the week with wine for just 13€.
Ménéac is surrounded by lush forests and is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts, with scenic trails for hiking and cycling never far away. You also have plenty of pretty villages nearby, such as the charming riverside village of Josselin, with its medieval castle, and the picturesque town of Ploërmel, perfect for a leisurely day trip. You can also spend a lovely day in the seaside towns of Vannes and Lorient or take a small boat across to the beautiful island of Belle-Île-en-Mer.
Airports
Rennes airport is 50 mins drive. It has direct flights from London Gatwick, Amsterdam and Barcelona.

The village of Ménéac is located in the centre of Brittany, 1 hour 15 mins south of the ferry port at Saint-Malo and 50 mins west of Rennes.
