The apartment building is arranged around a communal courtyard and garden. There are 6 apartments in total. The apartment building is located on the edge of the village, close to the river and provides easy access to the shops an restaurants in the centre of the village, as well as the local Abbey. The Terrace apartment is located on the second floor and provides 58m² of living space. The apartment has  fibre internet , energy efficient heat pumps offering low cost heating and AC.

Ground floor

• There is a communal living room, dining room and large kitchen (professionally equipped). This space is free to use by all the tenants of the apartments and also hosts regular social events from village associations. The apartments offer activities of the Association Opale on the ground floor - film nights, yoga classes and special events such as concerts, workshops and classes - allow residents to engage with locals and provide an unusual degree of access to every-day village life.

Second floor

The apartment has its own secure entrance. The open plan living room is a lovely space, with a stone tiled floor and exposed beams. Large patio windows allow plenty of light to flood into the room.

• The lounge area comes with a comfortable sofa and coffee table.
• The dining area features a colourful dining table with seating for 4 people.
• The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with a large fridge-freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher. There is plenty of storage space and the kitchen has a good range of cooking utensils, plates, cups and cutlery.
• The main bedroom has a large double bed, bedside tables and an armchair. The bedroom has a small window and a skylight. There is a small dressing area with hanging space and shelves for storage.
• The bathroom is equipped as a wet room, with a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin. 

Outside

• Large patio windows provide access to the terrace, which has lovely views over the village and the hills beyond. The terrace comes with a rattan sofa and armchair.  It is both, a glassed in winter terrace and outdoor summer terrace.
• There is a lovely paved courtyard with subdued lighting and a small landscaped garden. In the courtyard, an elevator provides access to all floors.

The Hill view apartment is available for long term rentals from 3 to 12 months. The rental price will depend on the duration of your stay and the season. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €175 towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi and communal taxes/fees. All rentals include access to common spaces (living room, dining room, courtyard, garden and laundry).

Lagrasse apartment for long term rentals in South France - Our Opinion

 With elevator access and wheelchair accessible throughout, the apartment can cater for all ages and ranges of mobility. The apartment building is located close to the centre of the village, where you will find restaurants, shops, a range of art workshops and a weekly market. Lagrasse is located 30 mins from both Carcassonne and Narbonne. There is a TGV train station in Narbonne (with services to Paris, Marseille and Barcelona) and there is an airport in Carcassonne.

 Lagrasse is a very special village - a "plus beau village" on one hand and yet it retains a real authenticity.  It is important to mention that despite its small size, life in Lagrasse is very much enriched by the regional cultural center, and a significant number of associative activities.
