Last visited: September 2021. This spacious 1 bedroom property is the perfect long term rental accommodation for a couple or single person, looking to spend a few months in France. The property is very private and has the benefit of a courtyard garden and access to a heated swimming pool. The friendly Owners live on-site, but they have a separate entrance and parking space and this property is completely self-contained. The property is located in the countryside with no other houses within 1 square kilometre, but it is only a short cycle ride to Thezan-les-Beziers, where you will find a restaurant, shops, a bank, pharmacy and a cafe-bar.
The Languedoc village of Thézan les Béziers is just five minutes cycle ride away (bicycles provided) mostly along a flat, country lane. Thezan les Beziers is a small village about 8km from the outskirts of Beziers. It is totally surrounded by vineyards and ideally placed for visitors to the region with mountains and stunning scenery 15kms to the north. Thézan has its own boulangerie, butcher and a small market on Thursday. In addition, there is a Super U supermarket, pharmacy, Gym and a couple of bars/restaurants.
The Mediterranean beaches are 25 minutes drive and there is also excellent river bathing just a cycle ride away.
Beziers (10kms) contains markets (including antiques), a tree lined centre with bars and restaurants, theatre and art galleries and excellent shops!
Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc (15kms) features gorges, caves, walking, river swimming, whitewater rafting, cycling and fishing.
Carcassonne (100kms) is the largest fortified medieval town in Europe.
River Orb (3kms) for swimming, fishing or walking.
There is a TGV train station in Beziers, with regular services to Paris (and Barcelona, Spain) as well as to other major cities in France. There is a local bus service between Thezan-les-Beziers and Beziers.
