The Mediterranean beaches are just 25 mins and the house provides a good base for visiting all the sites of the Languedoc region including the Pont du Gard, Aigues-Mortes, the Canal du Midi and Carcassonne. Local airports are located in Montpellier and Beziers (both 40-45 mins drive).

This charming French house in Neffies is laid out over 3 floors. You enter the property via stairs to first floor.
First floor
There is an Open plan living room with lounge and kitchen, leading to the terrace and the Master bedroom.
- The kitchen is fully-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and Espresso coffee machine. There is a kitchen table and plenty of plates, cutlery and cooking utensils.
- The lounge is set out around the stone fireplace and features antique set of drawing room furniture, original artwork and a TV (with international channels/Netflix, etc).
- A set of French windows lead out onto the sunny terrace. The terrace comes with table & chairs, a sun awning and fabulous views.
- The Master bedroom comes with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom (with shower, wash basin and WC).
Second floor
There are 2 bedrooms and a large family bathroom.
- Bedroom 2 is a large double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets and dressing table.
- Bedroom 3 is a twin bedroom. The bedroom comes with a large antique wardrobe and picturesque views.
- The large family bathroom comes with a full bath, overhead shower & wash basin. The washing machine is located in the bathroom.
- There is a separate WC.
Ground floor
The ground floor is a storage space for firewood, pool inflatables, parasols and garden furniture.
Outside
- There is an enclosed garden with mature trees, terrace & BBQ
- There is a private swimming pool (6m x 3m) with lawn area and sun loungers.
- Parking is a short walk away, up a small path.

The house is available for rentals of 3-9 months, between October to May. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €300 towards the heating, electricity, water and Wi-Fi. Firewood to be purchased separately. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement of the Owner (if accepted, there is a mandatory €250 deep cleaning fee, at the end of the rental period).

Last visited: March 2026. This is a fabulous base for a long stay in the Languedoc region of Southern France. With a sunny terrace and garden, this 3 bed house provides a great space to relax and soak up the laid-back culture of the South of France. Inside, the house is full of historic charm, with exposed beams and antique French furniture, but comes with modern facilities, a working fireplace and a fabulous country cottage kitchen.

The rental is for the entire property. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to shorter rentals. Utility bills and communal taxes are payable in addition to the rent.

L'Amandier house for long term rentals is situated in the pretty village of Neffies. This is an excellent spot for visitors to explore this beautiful corner of France, with stunning scenery and excellent local vineyards - the Faugeres wine appellation produces some of the best wines in the area.
Neffies is located on the edge of the “Parc Naturel regional du Haute-Languedoc” and there are some beautiful drives, cycle routes and hiking trails nearby.
In the village there is a bakers, for your daily baguette and morning croissants. A van visits once a week selling fresh seafood, including local oysters and mussels direct from the producers. The village also provides a post office, children’s play area and tennis courts. The family-friendly bar serves decent food at lunchtimes and evenings, with great views from their terrace. Alternatively, one of the best restaurants in the area (Le Very'Table) is tucked behind Neffies’ Gothic church.
Less than fifteen minutes drive away is the ancient market town of Pezenas, with it`s atmospheric old quarter, artist’s studios, boutiques and wide variety of bars and restaurants. There is also a fabulous market on Saturday, and a cinema showing English language films.
A thirty-five minute drive will take you to the Mediterranean beach resorts where you’ll find long stretches of sandy beaches with safe, shallow waters for swimming, all kinds of water sports, and a lively buzz in the cafes and bars. Some of the many family attractions here include a Dinosaur Park (near Meze), an African Animal reserve (Sigean), Aqualand water park (Cap d’Agde) and the Aquarium at Montpellier.
Explore the bustling port of Sete, built on a confluence of canals, and watch the local spectacle of water jousting. Meander through the narrow cobbled streets of the regional capital, Montpellier, with its shady squares and exclusive boutiques. Or, you could hire a bike and go cycling along the tow paths of the magnificent Canal du Midi. Or just simply relax by your own pool.
Other transport
There is a TGV train station located at Montpellier, Beziers and Agde. Local bus services run from each of these towns to Pezenas, with connecting bus routes to Roujan and Neffies.

Neffies is easily accessed from two main autoroutes, the A9 and A75: approximately 20 minutes from both.
