The Cowshed, as its name suggests, was former a farm building which was used for storing hay and housing cattle. Today, the cottage has been transformed to provide simple, but comfortable accommodation for 2-4 people. 

Ground floor

You enter the cottage into the open plan living room, with kitchen, dining area and lounge.

• In the lounge, there is a large fireplace with a wood burning stove, 2 sofas (one of which folds out to form a double bed) and a 32-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix.
• The kitchen comes equipped with a gas hob, air fryer, large fridge-freezer, coffee percolator, washing machine, kettle and toaster.
• The dining area has a table which can seat 4 people.
• Just off the lounge, there is the bathroom, which comes with a shower, wash basin and WC.

First floor

• There is a large bedroom with 2 double beds. A curtain can be drawn to separate sleeping areas.

Outside:

• The Owner also lives on site (in a separate Farmhouse) and during the summer months tenants have access to the his saltwater swimming pool.
• In the garden there is a vegetable patch, large lawn area and a gas barbecue.  

Charente long term rentals France - prices

The cottage is available for long term rentals between October to May. Higher prices will apply to shorter rental periods over the summer months. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month stay. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €150 towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi and local taxes. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement.
