This newly renovated house in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Southern France, is available for long term rentals of between 3 to 6 months. The house comes with a roof terrace with stunning views, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a garage with plenty of storage space.
The house is located in the heart of the charming village of Ria-Sirach, just 5 minutes from the bustling market town of Prades. The city of Perpignan (with airport and rail links) is 30 minutes away, the Mediterranean beaches are 40 minutes away and the Pyrenees ski resorts just 45 minutes drive.
The house can be rented from €900 per month + bills.

The house is laid out over three levels and provides 140m2 of living space.
Ground floor
- You enter into the entrance hall, with stairs up to floors 1 and 2.
- There is a guest bedroom, which can also be used as an home office.
- There is a bathroom with shower, wash basin and WC.
- A door provides access to the attached garage which provides plenty of storage space. The garage has an electric door which offers convenient access.
First floor
The main open plan living room consists of a kitchen, dining room and living room, in a warm and bright atmosphere. Stairs lead up from the living room to the the second floor and roof terrace.
- The kitchen comes equipped with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, large American fridge-freezer, microwave and plenty of storage space. There is a central island with breakfast bar.
- The dining room has a round table which can seat 4-6 people.
- The lounge has 2 sofas, 2 armchairs, a coffee table and flat screen TV.
- The Master bedroom is a large room with dressing area and an adjoining bathroom.
Second floor
- There is a cozy sitting room with sliding patio doors which lead out onto the terrace
- Bedroom 2 comes with a double bed and an en suite shower room.
Outside
- The roof terrace on the top floor of the house is a large sunny space, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the views across the village rooftops and Mont Canigou in the distance.

The house is light and bright and comes with bags of charm. It has been tastefully renovated and provides comfortable accommodation for a couple with frequent guests or a small family. The local area provides a peaceful environment where you can enjoy the nature of the Pyrenees on multiple walks and cycling trails. You also have the convenience of the town of Prades just down the road with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and shops.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation. Rent to be paid in advance at the start of each month. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision (of €225 per month towards the utility bills (electricity, heating, water & Wi-Fi) and local taxes. Minimum stay is usually 3 months.

Area activities
The Catalan village of Ria-Sirach is located on the outskirts of the market town of Prades, which is 30 mins west of Perpignan and 45 mins to the Spanish border. The town has around 6,000 people and provides a good range of local services, including supermarkets, schools, shops, a local hospital and leisure facilities.
The village is situated at the foot of Mount Canigou (2784M), the famous Catalan mountain and a trail up to the mountain starts at 4km behind the house.
Nearby, you will find the spa town Vernet le Bains (12km), which was developed from 1846 around the local hot spring waters. The spa resort was visited regularly by the British writer, Ruyard Kipling, author of the Jungle Book.
Also closeby, is Villefranche-de-Conflent (10km), a medieval fortified town, which was founded in 1092 and extensively rebuilt during the 14th and 15th centuries. The town is an UNESCO World Heritage site. The hill fort of Fort Liberia sits 150m above Villefranche and was built in 1681, after the French King seized control of this part of the Pyrenees from the Spanish. The fort is connected to the town of Villefranche by an underground staircase of 734 steps built between 1850 and 1853 on the orders of Napoleon III.
The nearby ski resorts of Les Angles and Font Romeu can be accessed in 40 mins. The principality of Andora is a short drive away and the Spanish border is just 50 mins drive.
Other transport
There is a train station in Prades (with services to the local towns of Vernet and Ille-sur-Tet). The train station at Ille-sur-Têt has train services to Perpignan.
There is a local bus service between Perpignan and Prades.
Airports
The nearest airport is located at Perpignan, which is a base for Ryanair flights to London and Brussels.
Girona airport in northern Spain is 1 hour 20 mins away.
Driving directions
Ria-Sirach and the nearby town of Prades, are situated about 50 km from both the Mediterranean coast and the Pyrenees ski resorts near Font‑Romeu. It lies 40 mins to the west of Perpignan.
