This charming 3 bed house for long term rentals in France, is located in the lovely riverside village of Bastide sur l'Hers, in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Southern France. The village has a surprisingly good range of services including a gourmet restaurant, cafe-bar, butcher, bakery and a small supermarket. Toulouse is 90 mins away and Carcassonne is 60 mins. Both cities have an airport and train station.
The house comes with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Fibre internet and a courtyard garden. The house is available for long term rentals from €800 per month + bills.

The house is located on a small square in the centre of the village, close to the church. The house has recently been refurbished and comes with modern facilities and furnishings. It is laid out over 2 floors and provides 100m2 of living space. There is fast internet and modern electric radiators.
Ground floor
- There is an open plan living room containing the lounge, dining area and kitchen.
- The lounge has a corner sofa, coffee table and small TV.
- The table in the dining area can seat 4-6 people.
- The kitchen comes equipped with an oven, hob , dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The house comes with plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.
- Next to the kitchen there is a large utility room with a drinks fridge, washer & dryer and plenty of shelving/storage
- There is a bathroom on the ground floor which comes with a small bath with overhead shower and wash basin. There is a separate WC.
First floor
There are 3 large bedrooms and a further bathroom.
- Bedroom 1 is fitted with a King-size bed.
- Bedroom 2 has a Queen-sized double bed and wardrobe.
- Bedroom 3 comes with a Queen-sized double bed. There is a chest of drawers and wardrobe.
- There is a bathroom with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.
- There is a also a separate walk-in closet for additional storage.
Outside
- There is a small courtyard, which is fully enclosed.
- There is plenty of free parking on the surrounding streets and in front of the church.

The house is available for long term rentals from 3 to 12 months. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €200 euros towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi and communal taxes. Minimum stay is 3 months. Higher prices may apply to shorter rental periods, especially over the summer months.

This comfortable house is ideal for a long term stay in Southern France. The small courtyard is a handy addition to have. Bastide sur l'Hers is located in a beautiful part of rural France, surrounded by hills and with views of the snow-capped Pyrenees in the distance. Nearby, there are many interesting places to visit including the medieval market town of Mirepoix, Camon (one of the 150 most beautiful villages in France) and the nearby Lake Montbel. In the village itself you will find an excellent restaurant, friendly local cafe-bar, a small convenience store, a butcher and boulangerie. Supermarkets are located in the nearby town of Lavalanet, which also has an hospital.
A car is strongly advised in this location.
One month's deposit to be paid at the time of your reservation (this will become the security deposit during your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the 1st day of each month (or in full be fore arrival for stays of 3 months or less). In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €175 towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi and local taxes. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement. Minimum stay is 3 months.

Bastide sur l'Hers is a small village located in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Southern France. The village is an hour south of Carcassonne and 90 mins south-east of Toulouse. The village is situated on the border of the Ariege and Aude departments, close to Lake Montbel.
This area of France is frequently referred to as Cathar Country, on account of the number of hilltop castles and ruins associated with the Cathar religious movement, dating back to the 12th and 14th Centuries. Famous local castles include Château de Montségur, Château de Peyrepertuse and Château de Queribus.
Bastide-sur-l'Hers has a population of around 600 people and it has a very active local community. It also comes with a good range of services, including an excellent restaurant, a friendly local cafe-bar, a small convenience store, a butcher and a boulangerie. During the summer, the local holiday village brings a number of tourists to the village who enjoy visiting the nearby lake (Lac de Montbel) and for walking in the surrounding hills.
The nearby town of Lavelanet has a wider range of services including supermarkets, schools and an hospital.
