The house is laid out over 3 floors and provides 180m2 of living space. The house has gas central heating and Wi-Fi internet. The bedrooms on the front of the house are north-facing and a re generally kept cooler in the summer months. Inside, the house has the original French furniture and decoration typical of the late 1940's and 1950's.

Ground floor

You enter the house into the entrance hall, which provides access to the kitchen, office and living room.

• The large living room contains a lounge area, sitting room and access out to the veranda. The lounge comes with a large stone fireplace (non-functional), a comfortable sofa, coffee table and 2 armchairs. There is currently not a TV, but it would be easy to fit one into the corner.
• The sitting room is a very sunny space with 2 armchairs and a sofa. There are nice views out to the garden and the riverside.
• The veranda is a lovely space to sit out at all times of the year, with large windows providing plenty of light. There is a patio table and chairs.
• The large dining room has some beautiful antique furniture which has been in the Owner's family for 3 generations. This is a great space to enjoy a fabulous meal with friends and family. 
• The kitchen is definitely of the period, with a large open fireplace (which is functional). The kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, coffee percolator, kettle and toaster.
• Next to the kitchen there is a large utility room, with a fridge-freezer and additional storage. There is also a guest WC. The utility room provides access to the garage.
• The office comes with a desk, book shelf and filing cabinet.

First floor

• Bedroom 1 is a large room, fitted with an antique double bed, dressing table, occasional chairs and a large antique wardrobe.

• Bedroom 4 is a large room with an antique double bed, high ceiling, a fitted wardrobe and an antique dresser. There is a balcony off the bedroom, which offers beautiful views over the river and towards Carcassonne and the Corbières hills in the distance.
• Bedroom 5 is a twin room, with antique sleigh beds, bedside cabinets and a fitted wardrobe.
• There is a bathroom on this floor with a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.

Outside

• The veranda leads out to the garden, which enjoys lovely views over the river and surrounding countryside. The garden has a number of mature trees, shrubs and flower beds.
