The apartment enjoys an enviable elevated position on the top floor of a small apartment building, with no neighbours attached or to the sides. There is a secure entrance to the apartment building, with stairs up to the second floor where you will find the separate entrance to the apartment. The apartment provides 50m² of living space and comes with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.

• There is a bright open-plan living room with dining area and lounge. Patio doors lead out onto the terrace.
• The lounge has a sofa (which folds out to form a double bed), coffee table and flat screen TV (with internet access for Netflix, Apple TV, etc).
• The dining table comes with 4 chairs.
• The separate kitchen comes with a large fridge-freezer, a second fridge, oven, hob, microwave and coffee machine. The apartment comes with plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils.
• Both bedrooms are a good size and feature double beds, storage and electric radiators.
• The bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin

Outside

• The large sun terrace has views across the rooftops of the town and towards the Pyrenees in the distance. There are 2 sun loungers and a patio table and chairs.
• There is free parking outside the apartment building and on the surrounding streets.

The apartment is available for long term rentals 3 to 12 months. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €250 towards the electricity, water and Wi-Fi. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement. Minimum stay is 3 months (although longer periods preferred).

This apartment in the heart of Carcassonne is a great option for a long term rental in the South of France. Carcassonne has a good-sized ex-Pat community and comes with excellent services (train station, shops, local airport, hospital & medical centre, schools, markets, etc.). Carcassonne is one of the most-visited towns in the South of France and is home to 2 UNESCO World Heritage sites (Carcassonne Castle and the Canal du Midi) and in the summer it is home to a very popular music and arts festival.

Inside, the apartment feels a real home from home, with good quality furnishings and decoration. The  large sunny terrace is a real bonus. The apartment is ideal for remote workers, house-hunters or people who want to take a well-earned sabbatical.
